Tage Erlander Prize is awarded annually as a reward for outstanding scientific work as a stimulus for continued research, every five years in the following subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, technology and biology. High-quality popular science efforts are also a merit for the award. Recipients of the award are researchers who have not reached the age of 40 at the end of the nomination period.
