Wallenberg Academy Fellow Mattias Jakobsson, professor at Uppsala University, is working on mapping our evolutionary history.<br>His studies show that only 5-10% of the genetic code from the man matches today&#8217;s Scandinavians and that the Swedes&#8217; DNA is a product of several immigration waves, a mix of all the peoples who have migrated into Scandinavia since the ice withdrew more than 10,000 years ago.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Have you ever wondered where Scandinavians came from?
