The main goal of my PhD is to refine the demographic history of the ancestors of modern-day Central and Southern African indigenous human populations. My raw data consists of high coverage whole genomes from modern humans and has been generated in the lab. I will apply population genetics method to infer past demography. I am also interested in more theoretical or simulation-based approaches.
