New PhD project by Mariam Omar Gómez
Mariam has recently started her PhD studentship with the project “Histories of Southeast Asia through time” under Mattias Jakobsson’s and Max Larena’s (Human Evolution Program, UU) supervision. Uppsala University’s 2023 Linnaeus Medal awarded to Mattias Jakobsson
Uppsala University’s Linnaeus Medal was first awarded on 23 May 2007 in connection with the 300th anniversary of the birth of Carl Linnaeus. Lab Retreat – Vaxholm 2018
This year we visited the Vaxholm Kastell just outside Stockholm during the Lab Retreat. Given the nice weather, we enjoyed a picnic, and some of us went swimming. The trip was completed with a visit to the Vaxholm Museum. Some impressions are shown in the slide show.
